What is the Hour of Power?
Electric Kiwi has a smart way to help you save even more money. We call it the Hour of Power. Its pretty simple really, you choose 60 minutes of off peak power that suits your lifestyle. All electricity used during that hour is free each day! So go ahead, put on the washing machine, dryer and dishwasher all at once - it’s on the house.
When joining Electric Kiwi you are able to choose the off-peak hour that's best for you. Off peak power is anytime between 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM every day.
You can change your Hour of Power at any time. Your free time-slot will remain the same until you decide to choose a new one. Any change before midnight will be active for that day.How do I save the most using my Hour of Power?
You can change your Hour of Power every day. Anytime during the day, simply choose the time period where you'll use the most power to watch your savings grow. Here's a few pointers:
Run your washing machine and get your washing done for free
Get a power-plug timer to simply set and forget to save every day
