1. General competition and giveaway terms

Effective from 1 August 2024

Promotion

1.1. By participating in any competition or giveaway advertised by Electric Kiwi on its website, Instagram or Facebook page and/or other social media channels, radio, TV, online or in any other channel you are deemed to have accepted these general terms and conditions.

1.2. These general terms and conditions are subject to any additional terms and conditions for the competition. The additional terms and conditions will prevail in the event of a conflict with any of these general terms and conditions.

1.3. All competitions are not sponsored or endorsed by any platforms like Facebook or Instagram unless clearly stated otherwise. By entering, you release any advertising platforms from all liability related to Electric Kiwi competitions.

1.4. Unless stated otherwise, only Electric Kiwi customers can enter. Specific competitions may be for certain customer segments, which will be detailed in the competition announcement. Employees of Electric Kiwi as well as their agents, contractors, consultants, and families, are not eligible to enter.

1.5. To enter, follow the instructions in the competition advertisement by Electric Kiwi.

1.6. To be eligible to win certain competitions, you must be a New Zealand resident, 18 or older, and meet any other specified requirements.

1.7. The competition’s opening and closing dates will be specified in its advertisement, which could be on social media, on TV, etc.

1.8. Electric Kiwi is not responsible for late, lost, or misdirected entries or technical issues that delay or prevent entry.

1.9. All entries become the property of Electric Kiwi and will not be returned.

1.10. Winners will be drawn as specified in the competition advertisement, and prizes will be distributed as advertised. Electric Kiwi accepts no responsibility for any prize winner's enjoyment of the prize or any other costs and expenses related to the prize (including any travel-related costs, unless otherwise specified in the competition advertisement).

1.11. Entries must not contain offensive, inappropriate, or unlawful content.

1.12. Electric Kiwi will try to notify winners by email, social media, text, or phone. If we can't reach a winner within three days, we may select a new winner. We might also use other ways to contact winners.

1.13. Prizes can't be transferred, exchanged, or turned into cash. Electric Kiwi isn't responsible for any lost or destroyed entries or prizes.

1.14. By accepting the prize, winners agree to be photographed and/or interviewed, and for their name, city, entry, photos, and interviews to be used by Electric Kiwi for promotional purposes without compensation. This can include Electric Kiwi’s website, direct and social media.

1.15. Electric Kiwi’s decisions about the competition are final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

1.16. Electric Kiwi reserves the right to cancel or amend these terms and any challenge instructions without notice.

1.17. Electric Kiwi is not liable for any issues arising directly or indirectly from the competition, as permitted by law.

1.18. Any personal information collected will be managed according to Electric Kiwi’s Privacy Policy. You have the right to access, update, and correct your information.

2. 3 or 6 months half price Mobile Offering

Effective from 1 October 2025 to 28 February 2026

Promotion

2.1. The Kiwi Mobile half price offer (Offer) is available to new Kiwi Mobile customers who sign up to Kiwi Mobile during the period 1 October 2025 to 28 February 2026 (Offer Period).

2.2. To be eligible for this offer:

  • 2.2.1. Your mobile number/connection must not have been previously connected to Kiwi Mobile. This Offer is for new Kiwi Mobile connections only.
  • 2.2.2. Existing Electric Kiwi broadband customers may be eligible if joining Kiwi Mobile for the first time. New customers who join both Electric Kiwi broadband and Kiwi Mobile during the Offer Period are also eligible.
  • 2.2.3. The Offer is available on all Electric Kiwi broadband plans (Sweet, Sweet As, Sweet Lite) and all Electric Kiwi mobile plans (Choice, Choice Lite).
  • 2.2.4. Only one new mobile connection per customer (either a Primary Account Holder or one Buddy added to the account during the Offer Period) is eligible for the Offer.
  • 2.2.5. If a customer already has an existing Kiwi Mobile connection and adds a Buddy during the Offer Period, only the newly added Buddy’s connection is eligible for the Offer (subject to all other criteria above).
  • 2.2.6. Any additional new mobile connections (Buddies) added to the same Primary Account during the Offer Period will not be eligible for this Offer.

2.3. The Offer provides:

  • a. 3 months at half price for all new eligible Kiwi Mobile connections.
  • b. 6 months at half price mobile for new or existing Electric Kiwi broadband customers who join Kiwi Mobile during the Offer Period, provided you remain an Electric Kiwi broadband customer for the duration of the discount. If broadband is cancelled, the discount ends immediately and full plan charges apply.

2.4. ‘Half price’ means you will pay 50% of your plan’s standard charges on every max speed data tier (for the applicable Choice or Choice Lite plan) for either the first 3 months or 6 months (as determined by your eligibility). It includes plan allocated minutes and texts to NZ and Aussie standard numbers. The offer does not apply to things like roaming, premium numbers and MMS, international calls & texts, add-ons, or any other expenditure incurred on your mobile Account. Terms and Conditions and Fair Use Policy apply. After the discounted period, the full plan charge applies.

2.5. We reserve the right to withdraw or amend the offer or offer period at any time.

2.6. The reference to 3 months is for 91 days and the reference to 6 months is for 182 days.

2.7. The Offer will be applied on your Kiwi Mobile Account. If you are a Buddy connected to a Primary Account Holder’s Account, the Offer will be applied against the Primary Account Holder’s Account as they are responsible for all Charges on the account.

2.8. A mobile Connection/number is only eligible to receive the Offer once. Existing or previous Kiwi Mobile numbers/connections are not eligible. If you cancel your Kiwi Mobile connection and rejoin you will note be eligible for this Offer again. Linking as a Buddy to a Primary Account (where the connection has already received the Offer, or is ineligible) does not reset or requalify for the Offer period.

2.9. The Offer is not transferable, refundable or redeemable for cash.

2.10. By participating, you acknowledge you have read and accepted these Offer Terms and Conditions.

2.11. These Offer Terms and Conditions should be read together with other applicable terms and conditions including the General Mobile Terms and Special Terms applicable to your plan.

2.12. Electric Kiwi reserves the right to withdraw or amend the Offer or Offer Period at any time.

2.13. Defined terms have the meaning given to them in other Electric Kiwi terms and conditions, including the General Terms and Choice Plan Special Terms.

2.14. This offer is in place until 28 February 2026, unless withdrawn earlier.

3. Pinky Promise Broadband Offering

Effective from 19 August 2025 to 30 November 2025

Promotion

3.1. Free Netgear Orbi RBR350 modem for customers who join Electric Kiwi Broadband from 19 August 2025 and select the 12 month Pinky Promise modem offer.

3.2. To be eligible for this offer:

  • 3.2.1. You must be a new Electric Kiwi Broadband customer.
  • 3.2.2. You must already have fibre installed at your address.
  • 3.2.3. You must intend to stay with us for a year.

3.3. You will receive a Netgear Orbi RBR350 modem.

3.4. This is not a fixed term commitment or contract, we'll take your word for it. So there will be no penalties if you break your pinky promise and exit early.

3.5. We reserve the right to withdraw or amend the offer or offer period at any time.

3.6. While stocks last.

3.7. This offer is in place until 30 November 2025.

3.8. Electric Kiwi Hardware Supply Terms apply (except in relation to payment).

4. $50 Account Credit with Kiwi Mobile Sign-Up

Effective from 23 October 2025 to 30 October 2025

Promotion

4.1. These terms apply to existing Electric Kiwi power [or broadband customers] who sign up to Kiwi Mobile between 23 October 2025 and 11.59pm on 30 October 2025 (“promotional period”).

4.2. The $50 credit mobile offer is not available to:

  • Customers who have previously signed up to Kiwi Mobile (including those whose mobile numbers have previously been connected to Kiwi Mobile).
  • Customers who cancel and rejoin Kiwi Mobile during the promotional period.

4.3. This offer is only available once per Electric Kiwi account (either to the Primary Account Holder or one newly added Buddy connection).

4.4. A $50 credit will be applied to your Electric Kiwi account within 30 days of your successful Kiwi Mobile activation.

4.5. The credit may be used to offset invoiced charges for any Electric Kiwi service (including power, broadband, or mobile).

4.6. The credit is not transferable or redeemable for cash.

4.7. Any remaining account credit at account closure will be forfeited.

4.8. We reserve the right to withdraw or amend the offer or offer period at any time.

4.9. We retain the right to determine whether a Kiwi Mobile sign-up is genuine and valid at our sole discretion. If deemed invalid, we may cancel the account credit at any time.
