Mobile Settings
Getting started with Kiwi Mobile should be as simple as getting your new SIM and then being good to go. Sometimes, in situations like where a phone has been purchased overseas, a few extra steps are needed.

The basics. Easy ways to get the best coverage and speed you can.
Always have the latest phone softare update installed. This will get the best out of your phone, and also automatically apply the right settings 99% of the time.
Make sure data roaming is on so you can browse the internet, send emails, and use MMS on the entire 2Degrees network (we use this for our customers). Roaming within NZ is included at no extra cost.
Double-check that your network mode and operator selection are set to automatic within your settings.
Check your APN settings - your Access Point Name should be ‘internet’ in order to work across our entire network. See below for details on how to access this on your device.
Apple settings
Here’s how to locate your iPhone’s APN settings:
- Open your iPhone Settings
- Select Mobile
- Tap Mobile Data Network
Connect to the internet or tether with your phone:
- Leave the username and password fields blank
- APN: internet
Enable MMS
- Leave the username and password fields blank
- APN: MMS
- MMSC: http://mms.2degreesmobile.net.nz:48090
- MMS proxy: 118.148.1.118:8080
- Leave the MMS max message size as default size
- Leave the MMS UA Prof URL field blank
Samsung settings
Here’s how to locate your Samung's APN settings:
- Open phone Settings
- Tap Connections
- Tap Mobile Networks
- Tap Access Point Names
- Tap internet
If you still can't find the APN settings on your Samsung device head to the Samsung website.
Connect to the internet or tether with your phone:
- Leave the username and password fields blank
- APN: internet
Enable MMS
- Leave the username and password fields blank
- APN: MMS
- MMSC: http://mms.2degreesmobile.net.nz:48090
- MMS proxy: 118.148.1.118:8080
- Leave the MMS max message size as default size
- Leave the MMS UA Prof URL field blank
Oppo settings
Here’s how to locate your OPPO's APN settings:
- Open phone Settings
- Tap Connections
- Tap the SIM 1 (or SIM 2 if cofigured)
- Tap Access Point Names
- Tap the plus symbol on the top right
If you still can't find the APN settings on your OPPO device head to the http://mms.2degreesmobile.net.nz:48090
