Connecting your modem

Compact in size but big on performance, the TP-Link HB410 is built to deliver.

Follow these steps to get going.

What’s in the box?

B - Ethernet Cable to connect ONT and Modem

Plug in and power up

  • Find your ONT (the fibre box on the wall)
  • Plug the Ethernet cable from your modem’s WAN port into GE1 or LAN1 on your ONT. If LAN1 doesn’t work, you may be set up on LAN2, 3, or 4. Unsure? Drop us a line on Live Chat.
  • Connect the power adapter and turn your modem on at the wall.

Connection loading

  • Wait 2 minutes for your modem to connect.
  • The front LED will turn solid green when connected.
  • If the LED is blue after 3 minutes, check the cable between your ONT and the WAN port on your modem.

Connect to Electric Kiwi WiFi

Your Wi-Fi network name, password and QR code are on the back of your modem.

Scan the QR code to connect, or open Wi-Fi settings on your phone or laptop, select your network name and enter the password.

Note It may take a few minutes after plugging in your modem for the network to appear and the LED to turn solid green.

Get more features by scanning the QR code in your box or by downloading the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

  • Add Wi-Fi mesh extender(s)
  • Add Parental Controls to connected device(s)
  • Change your Wi-Fi name and password
  • View data usage
  • Run a speed test on your internet connection

Ethernet connections

To connect via Ethernet, use an extra Ethernet cable (not supplied). Plug one end into any modem ethernet port and the other into your device (e.g. PC, TV, game console).

Product Care & Safety

  • Do not cover modem or restrict airflow to vents.
  • Do not place the modem in direct sunlight or heat.
  • Do not tamper with or open the modem.
  • Please keep it away from moisture and water.

WiFi extender

If your property is especially large, you may have ordered an extra mesh unit to connect to your router.
